In this section, I will summary of local patches for NetBSD.
The source files of the driver to driven Cirrus Logic's CS4280 chip under the NetBSD. It was contributed to the NetBSD and merged at Dec. 14, 1999.
Known Problem
You can find newer version in the directory, ftp://tack.fukui-med.ac.jp/pub/tera_utils/NetBSD/sys/dev/pci/.
It should support CS461[01245], CS462[24], so please contact with me if you can.
It was merged into NetBSD-current on Jan. 22, 2001. But I still need some tester to support midi.
Although Cirrus Logic says
"CS4281 is a compatible with CS4280", I think it means "pin compatible".
CS4281 does not work with the driver for CS4280.
Here is a driver for the
CS4281
chip. Since I only have a
CS4281
document, I need some testers.
Please contact with
me if you can.
There is a mailing list for testers. To subscribe it, mail to
majordomo@trap.fukui-med.ac.jp
with body
subscribe cs4281-info
.
My new ThinkPad X22 has Intel AUICH and Cirrus Logic CS4299 as its audio device, but there are some problemes, such as no monaural support or no variable rate recording. So I haced them.
Whole of them were committed to -current at 2002/03/15.
